No. A standard U.S. auto policy doesn't satisfy Mexican law once you cross the bridge — Mexico requires liability coverage issued by a Mexican insurer, and driving without it can mean your vehicle is impounded after an accident. If you cross regularly, ask us about a Mexico tourist auto policy before your next trip.
Texas requires 30/60/25 — $30,000 bodily injury per person, $60,000 per accident, and $25,000 for property damage. New Mexico's minimum is lower at 25/50/10. Those are legal floors, not coverage plans: one hospital stay clears $30,000 fast, which is why we usually look at higher limits.

Usually, yes. Adding a second vehicle, a motorcycle, or a renters or homeowners policy alongside your auto often unlocks a multi-policy discount. GEICO also has discounts for federal employees, active military and veterans — which matters a lot in a Fort Bliss town. We'll check every one you qualify for.
